Target audience/background of members:

CME professionals at all experience levels in different health care education associations who develop education programs and evaluate the outcomes of those programs, including but not limited to, national medical associations and foundations.

Purpose/goal of the section:

The purpose of this section is to assist CME providers in developing programs that improve development and delivery of education programs; providing information on CME subjects that impact education program development, to include pharmaceutical company grant funding, technology and outcome measure; giving updates from provider organizations such as the AMA and AOA as well as the ACCME; emphasizing exchange of information and best practices; and discussing common issues encountered by all members.

Planned activities of the section (at the Annual Conference and throughout the year):

This section will meet in January 2009 at the Alliance Annual Conference in San Francisco. Communications will go out to Member Section members via email and the Alliance Almanac and a listserv will be set up through the Alliance web site to facilitate the progress of this section.
